David’s 5 KEY POINTS to build a greater and more sustainable Dorchester county

David Leaning on a railing

1. Individualism – To protect the right for the residents of Dorchester county to be, think and live the way they want to and the rejection of a collectivism mentality.

2. Practicing Faith – To defend Dorchester county resident’s right to practice their faith freely, openly and with other believers of their faith as they so choose.

3. The Right to defend one self and property – The right that all citizens of the county have the right to protect themselves and their family even when the state fails to protect that right.

I believe that we all truly want the same things in life…”

“I’ve given a lot of thought to the current condition of our nation. Top-down Government has never served the people well. We can bring restoration to our nation at the local government level, where decisions are made closer to the heart and the minds of the people – Our great nation can be saved, one county at a time.”

4. Private property rights – To assure that Dorchester county resident’s private property rights are protected at the county level.

5. Operating businesses and conducting commerce – That I will always protect the ability for every citizen to operate their business fairly and freely and not allow the government to choose what is “an essential business” and what’s not. In a truly free society, the people choose.

Living in District 5 in Dorchester county, and after speaking with local residents – Three focus areas come to light:

  1. Providing Broadband Internet coverage to all the underserved residents in the county, enabling county residents to have access to virtual/online education, compete in a changing job market, and to have access to their doctors from home via tele health.
  2. Providing The Emergency medical service with the means and ability to provide equal coverage in all parts of the county, to better serve the residents and retain EMS personnel.
  3. Providing the Sheriff’s office with the means and ability to expand and retain officers and to provide equal coverage for the entire county and for the safety of the officers
